The Builder
David Parks is a second generation developer. His father's lessons of quality and excellence of performance are in his blood. From his first $30 paycheck, earned at age 11 -- still framed and
hanging in his office -- to all the delighted homeowners who are his raving fans today, David has been immersed in every aspect of construction or development since he can remember.
David graduated from Clemson -- a marketing major with an emphasis on finance. In spite of his past experience, David never intended to go back into the building business. After college he put in his time in corporate New York and Chicago. But he constantly felt the tug of the world of construction and development. "I always had more of an entrepreneur in me." So he moved to western North Carolina and joined forces with his father who was just beginning to develop Mountain Club at Cashiers in Sapphire.
As time went by, looking at the building business from the perspective of a developer who hires contractors, David began to look for ways to keep the quality high and the prices low. He saw a real need in the marketplace for a fixed price, fixed duration contract structure. No one else was offering this.
He began toying with the idea of creating his own building company. A company that brought together all of these new ideas.
But he realized he couldn't get the pricing he wanted using outside contractors. The business plan for his new company, which included a streamlined process enhanced by excellent builder/client communication, a quest for value, and a controlled timetable, could not be achieved unless he put together a crew of tried and true support people. Professionals who understood David's vision. Workers who he could count on to perform the highest quality of work, charge a fair rate and treat the customer like gold.
So the Triad team was born.
Involved in the process from beginning to end, the Triad crew has ownership and pride in their finished product. The team concept also allows Triad to build a home faster than the competition. And the price you are given when the shovel first goes into the ground, is the price you pay when David hands you the keys.
David personally orchestrates every aspect of the process, whether on site or from his offices. His philosophy is simple: "It's less about my own abilities than the abilities of the talented people I've surrounded myself with. I'm the quarterback. The team wins the game."
He values the building of relationships and as all his past customers have said, your relationship with him will be as satisfying and enjoyable as your beautiful new home.
David's philosophy: "Exceed expectations, do what we say we're going to do, offer clear, candid communication and deliver a quality custom home, on time on budget."
David has offices in Cashiers and Atlanta. He lives with his wife, Dia and their four daughters Riley, 13, Magen, 10, Brittan, 5, and Carly, 4.
