David Parks
President and Founder

David’s degree from Clemson in marketing came in handy when he began Triad Building Company in 1999. Growing up in the world of building and developing, today he is at the helm of an organization that creates high quality custom homes. He believes strongly in the team concept and is one of only a handful of builders offering a fixed price, fixed duration contract.

“It’s less about my own abilities, than the abilities of the talented people I’ve surrounded myself with.  I’m just the quarterback. The team wins the game.”

David Kamp
Project Manager

Dave honed his project management skills in nearly 25 years of employment with defense contractor Lockheed Martin. He began his career on the artsy side of the house as staff photographer and ended as manager of the Art Department and a large divisional information technology organization. Dave is responsible for all phases of construction from framing through customer orientation. He works closely with customers throughout these processes and ensures that all sub-contractors are meeting quality standards, deadlines are met and materials and products are per contractual and customer selection guidelines. David Parks took a chance almost 10 years ago to bring in a virtual outsider, realizing  the what his company needed most was strong leadership in the field. As Dave like to say the details of anything can be learned but the inherent principles of sound process management are always the same.

“David and I work as a team to make the home building experience as painless as possible to our customers...and deliver the highest quality home, on time and on budget."

Carri Callahan
Cabinet Designer and Consultant

I work directly with the customer. House plans are only the start..then the real work comes in. We talk about functionality, space and cost estimates. We look at samples, pictures...I get to know what they like and what they don’t like. Only then do I create a set of drawings.”

Carrie has an education degree and was supposed to be a High School English teacher. She says that if she’d known at the time that this was a job, she would have become a cabinet designer from the get go; however, she feels her teacher training helps her to be an effective consultant. “Everyday I educate customers, try to understand their needs and help them get to a happy decision.”

“Triad does a really good job of looking out for their client. They are a true advocate for the customer.”

Valerie Meyers, ALA
Lighting Design Consultants

“Working with clients, I design a complete lighting environment based on their personal style, the way they live and their budget.”

Valerie has worked in the plumbing and lighting industry for 12 years. Before college she worked for a commercial builder, which gave her a taste of what goes into construction, architecture and design and which helped shape her next step: an Interior Design degree from Western Carolina University with a certification in Lighting. But commercial work was too sterile for her, so she got out of the cubicle and into residential lighting consulting.

“Lighting can make a track house look like a palace and a great house without it can’t live up to its potential. Triad?  They are very organized, very on top of things. The communication is great. They definitely have their act together.”

Teresa Wilson

“I work closely with clients, believing that they need to enjoy the experience of making selections for their new home.”
I have always had an appreciation for great design and the housing industry. I have worked as a plumbing/appliance/lighting showroom consultant for over 10 years. I’ve worked with Triad for 2 years.

“Triad offers a fine personal experience for their clients. They offer a great product in an exceptional timeframe with the cooperation of a great team.”

Scott Turner
Tile Design Sales Consultant

“I help people decide what tile materials, colors and patterns will work best in their new home.”
“I had absolutely no experience with tile when I decided to veer off into that area. I had managed a paint department for years. Working with all that color sharpened my design instincts and I bring that eye to help people with their new spaces. Every customer is different. Some need a lot of help with their choices, some walk in the door knowing what they want. I can work with both kinds of client.”

“David Parks is a real professional and has a good thing going here. He knows how to draw the best people together and have them working as a team. Probably the only builder I know who does that.”

Tina McEachin
Installed Sales Manager

Tina handles closet shelving, front doors, mirrors, shower doors and interior door hardware. “My job is to always be looking ahead for Triad. To anticipate what the next step is. To make sure we’re meeting our deadlines and keeping our quality high.”

After 18 years in the world of construction mortgage lending, Tina felt the urge to get out of the office and into the field. Hands on. Working closely with designers, architects and homeowners. Today, you’ll see Tina on the site of your new home, making sure all build-out times are being met and keeping an eye on quality control.
“I have a lot of respect for David and I’m proud to be a part of his team. Triad is like a family to me.”

Tony Martinez
Painting

“I offer quality interior and exterior painting with the goal of complete customer satisfaction.”

Tony started out his working life as a chef in Chicago. It’s through cooking he feels he learned all about customer service and exceptional quality. He has transferred this gift into his painting business where, for 11 years, he has the earned the reputation for excellent customer service. He has his own paint store in Cashiers.

“In the food business you have to make things look good and taste good. In the painting business, all you have to do is make it look good.”

Mark Zoran
Security System Installation

“I evaluate the security needs for a new homeowner and install the system with a lifetime warranty. Working with Triad is a good match for me. The company has the focus on customer service and the eye for detail that I was looking for." Mark always had a love for technology. In fact, he married a woman who shares his love for taking things apart and putting them back together. Today, they own over a half a million Legos. He feels his relationship with Triad is also a good match for him.

“Triad's customers get everything they want and expect. I try to reflect in my installations the same standard of excellence that David reflects in his craft.”

John Dean, PE
Engineering Services

“I work on the design/build of the structural systems of a house, and stay involved all the way through installation.”

Hailing from Indiana, John earned his Mechanical Engineering degree from Purdue. For 25 years he has had his hand in every aspect of engineering from commercial design to consulting to residential new construction.

“I have a very rewarding career, and I greatly value my alliance with Triad.”

Maurice Mast
Project Manager for Stone Work

“I work with the architect and the client to choose stone for the homes we build.”

Maurice has been with Triad for 5 years. His training was as an electrician, but his path took a detour when he went into this more artistic end of building. He works with the client, going over samples, pictures and architectural specs, helping them to visualize their finished product and choose the stone work that realizes that vision for them. He’ll spend hours driving around with clients, showing them finished houses so they can get it right.

“My relationship with David?  It’s one of mutual trust. Mutual respect.”

Laura Ford
Stone and Granite Consultant

“I meet with the homeowners and help them visualize their spaces and the countertop choices that will make those spaces come alive.”

18 years ago Laura moved from Los Angeles to the North Carolina mountains to help her contractor father. Soon after, David Parks and Triad discovered her, and they have been working together ever since.

“This is a great working relationship. David and I really know what each others’ expectations are and we constantly strive to maintain quality while keeping clients on budget.”

Mauricio Pains
Framing Carpenter

“I frame the walls. I am involved from the start of the project, and create the layout for the building of the rest of the house.”

Mauricio has been framing for 18 years. He started working with friends, and after achieving a high level of competence, he went out on his own. He has worked with Triad for six years. He says that he loves what he does and loves working with Triad. He says of David Parks and Triad, “They respect us and they deserve our respect.”

“When I finish a house, I drive my kids by it. I say, ‘This is the house I built’. I am very proud of the finished product.”

Karl Stottlemyer
Stone and Granite Consultant

“I work on the construction site. My relationship is with the contractor and the homeowner. I measure and make sure the fit is excellent.”

Karl’s relationship with stone work began in Colorado where he cut stone for a sculptor. The finished pieces ended up in mansions. Countertops were a natural next extension when he moved to western North Carolina and found a place in the construction industry.

“Triad is one of the most together companies I have ever worked for.”

Rodney Massey
 Grading

"I look at a wooded lot and design methods to divert water away from the finished houses"

Rodney's career started by driving a dump truck. When the company went out of business, Rodney got himself a partner and began his own business. He has partnered with Triad for eight years and values the professionalism, trust and family oriented atmosphere he finds here.

"Building in the mountains, there are drainage challenges. It's amazing how many more ways there are to divert water here than on flat land."

 Art Milloway
Windows and Doors Consultant

"I work with Triad to help choose the windows and doors that work best for a house."

A Clemson grad, after college Art went to work for a window and door company as a travelling rep. He's been a specialist in the field for 17 years.

"To be able to do a job well you have to have that respect. Triad and I have that with one another. It's a great relationship."
